I absolutely am a Warrior fanatic, as you all well know. I needed something to read on my dinner break, so even though I often find manga confusing, I checked out this tale of Sasha and her kits. I totally expected more of Tigerstar in it, but that's o.k. It was a very rich manga exploring the relationship between Sasha and Tigerstar, without the bad press he gets from the other clans. Very refreshing. Sasha often seems distant in the Warrior print (word only) books, and this really provided an insight into her character. Wonderful read.

WARRIORS CLUB MEETINGS ENDING

Yesterday I was demoted for alleged poor performance to clerk and moved to a different branch. Since I am no longer a librarian I will not have to opportunity to run the Warriors Book Club at St Anthony.
I have really enjoyed doing this and will miss you guys. I had no idea when I came up with this idea that it would be so well loved.
I will keep reading the books and putting up questions, so that if you want, your can keep reading on your own or with your own clan.

Thank you for following this blog and please keep reading. May Starclan be with you!

Warriors Graphic: Escape from the Forest

I have never read one of the Warriors Graphic Novels, so when I saw the new book Escape from the Forest, I decided to give it a try. Right up front I will admit I am not a huge fan of graphic novels, but as far as graphic novels go, this one was pretty good. The book follows Sasha, a cat who has chosen to live outside the clans and away from the scheming Tigerstar (The father of her kits). The book was a quick read and was easy to follow. It did not have the depth of the written Warriors books, and I can't help but think that I would not have made the choices Sasha did, especially since she was having kits. Who would leave a home with a nice person when you have nowhere to go? Since I have not read far into the warriors series, I was not aware of the intense hatred clan cats had for housecats. I also had not read the first book in the graphic series, so I was pretty confused about some things. Graphics were pretty good.

Grade 2+

About 100 pages

Would recommend, after reading the first graphic novel in the series

Next month's selection

I think our first meeting went super! Next month's title is Warriors #2, Fire and Ice. I am looking forward to rereading it for our discussion. The meeting will be on Saturday February 28th at 11:20 AM at St Anthony in the meeting room. Starting this week I will be putting some of the questions I come up with on this site so you can get a jump start of it. If you have any of your own, be sure to add it. See you then!
